The Castle Hotel started life in 1776, although under the same The Crown and Sceptre. Since then the pub has gone through many guises. After over 200 years of trade The Castle fell on hard times and closed it’s doors in 2008 but was reborn in 2009 when friends Jonny Booth and Rupert Hill took over The Castle Hotel and set about bringing the decrepit building back to life.
Much of the buildings original features were restored and Insitu was able to supply some fixtures and fittings for the pubs revamp. Some of our favourite pieces include the Flemish chandeliers decorative door handles.
