Original Copper Cargo Light – Large

Original ships copper and brass fluted cargo light.

The light has a bream interior which is a one off. This style of ships cargo light is one of the iconic marine lights. First appearing on British built steam ships in the late 19th century, and the design remained unchanged until everything changed over to aluminium in the 1960s.

Ships that had these onboard have disappeared, this is from the most recent batch from an old ships chandlers on the Clyde that sold up a couple of years ago.
