1890s Mrs Beeton’s Book of Household Management

This is a ‘New Edition’ (published circa 1890) of Mrs. Beeton’s Book of Household Management, published by Ward, Lock and Co. Featuring a red leather spine with elaborate gilt (gold) decoration and lettering. This ‘New Edition’ was revised and greatly enlarged from the 1861 original, containing over 900 pages and twelve full-page coloured cookery plates. First published in book form in 1861, Isabella Beeton’s work became a definitive guide for Victorian households. It covers a vast range of topics beyond recipes.
