Antique Chinoiserie Ebonised Table Nest

This beautiful nest of three tables in the Chinoiserie style, likely dates from the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1890–1920). These tables are typically identified as English or French pieces made in the Chinese taste. The tabletops are hand-painted with traditional gilt Chinoiserie scenes, and show a heavy patina consistent with their age, including fading of the lacquer and gilt decorations.
